Chemical Engineering Organizations
American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE)
NJIT chapter. The NJIT AIChE Student Chapter hosts speakers, resume reviews, workshops, and social events for chemical engineering students. Members also participate in competitive teams, including ChemE Sports, Chem-E-Car, and ChemE Cube, and attend conferences to compete and present research. The chapter's faculty advisor is Prof. Nellone E. Reid, and the Chem-E-Car advisor is Prof. Roman Voronov.
Professional society. The American Institute of Chemical Engineers connects chemical engineers around the world through courses, seminars, publications, conferences, and professional-development opportunities.

Omega Chi Epsilon (OXE) - Eta Chapter
NJIT chapter. Founded in 1957, the Eta Chapter is NJIT's chemical engineering honor society. It supports students academically and professionally while building community within the department. Activities include networking nights, career-fair preparation, numerical-methods and P&ID workshops, peer tutoring, MATLAB and partial-differential-equations workshops, and social events. The chapter's faculty advisor is Prof. Sagnik Basuray.
Professional society. Omega Chi Epsilon is the national honor society for chemical engineering. Founded in 1931, it recognizes scholastic excellence, character, integrity, and leadership among undergraduate and graduate students. Its five pillars are recognition, investigation, service, comradeship, and professionalism.

Materials Engineering Organizations
Prof. Mark Zhao serves as the faculty lead for the Materials Engineering student organizations.
Society for the Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering (SAMPE)
NJIT chapter. The NJIT SAMPE Chapter hosts social, professional, and technical meetings and events; connects students with local chapter members; assembles teams for SAMPE student contests; organizes travel to regional events and national conferences; and supports local K-12 STEM initiatives through volunteering.
Professional society. For more than 80 years, SAMPE has brought together professionals and students working in advanced materials and processes. It connects established industry leaders with emerging talent and encompasses the many fields involved in materials and process engineering.

Materials Research Society (MRS) - NJIT Chapter
NJIT chapter. The NJIT MRS Chapter promotes materials research and brings together students from different disciplines. The chapter organizes research seminars, laboratory tours, networking events, and professional-development activities while connecting students with the broader MRS community.
Professional society. The Materials Research Society connects materials researchers from academia, industry, and government. It promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and provides opportunities for research, networking, professional development, and scientific exchange.
